Billing and Rates

Billing

Bills are mailed on the first business day of the month and due by the last business day of the month. If payment is not received by the last day of the month, a 1.5% interest charge will be added to the total balance. This late payment will be a flat fee of $5.00 effective June 1, 2023.

Bills can be paid by check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or automatically withdrawn from your checking or saving account (ACH). All balances must be paid in full.

If you are a renter, the landlord who owns the property will receive a copy of your bill.

Delinquency Policy: If you have failed to pay your monthly bill, in accordance with the Municipal Authorities Law, you will receive a delinquent letter stating that your balance needs to be paid in full by a certain date. If, by that date, you haven't responded or paid in full, a tag will be placed on your door and $30 will be applied to your account for the tag posting fee. If there is no response by the date indicated on the tag, water service will be terminated and an additional $30 turn off fee will be applied to your account. When your balance is paid in full (along with the $30 turn on fee) water service can be resumed.

Rates

Rates are calculated on water consumption. There is a base rate of $24.70 which is applied to the debt in which the Authority has incurred for the construction, conveyance, and collection system of the treatment plant. This fee is applied to every property that is tapped into the sewerage even if there is no one living there or the water is turned off. In addition to the debt service fee, the consumption is calculated by $16.00 per 1000 gallons of water used. We obtain this water reading from the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC).

** Consumption rate of $16.00 per 1000 gallons of water used became effective on 4.1.2023. **
